Pal mittai

Ingredients 

Milk  one lt 
Sugar one cup 
For four cups of milk one cup of sugar will be ok
Cooking time
half an hour or even more depending on the milk

Method
Take a kadai or nonstick pan and pour the milk 
On high flame till it boils
and then lower the heat to medium
and go on stirring it
till the milk reduces to one fourth lt
and now add the sugar 
And keep the stove only in the medium flame
and go on stirring
till it starts leaving the side of the kadai 
When you touch it should not be sticky 
The ghee from the milk will start coming out

Take it out and
let it cool for a few mts

A teaspoon of elaichi powder
can be added now
but it is only optional

Make small balls and
press it a little and
it will be like a mittai

You will get 20 to 25 nos for one lt milk
if the milk is full cream milk 
It will be good for a month 
Without refrigeration 

No need to put it in the fridge 
This sweet is a Kerala special and will be very tasty
