Sambar and Rasam Powders

Sambar podi 


Ingredients 


Gundu milagai 250 grams
Dhania 100 grams
Bengal gram dhall 100grams
Mentiam 50 grams
toor dhall 100 grams
urad dhall 50 grams
mustard 25 grams
pepper 10 grams
jeera 10 grams
Raw Rice Handfull

Method


Fry all the ingrediants seperately
in a kadai without oil and
add a hand full of raw rice and
grind it smoothly and
keep it in a container

It is better to take this for grinding in a mill

When you want to make more
If you have dried karugappilai
you can add a handful of that also

We have a tree at home and
I will add this so many times and
it will be very good

Rasam powder 


Ingredients 


Gundu milagai 100 grams 
Dhania 50 gms 
Thoor dhall 100 grams 
Pepper 50 grams 
Jeera 50 grams 
Asafoitida powder 2 tea spoons 

Method


Fry all the ingredients separately in a kadai 
and grind it smoothly and 
keep it in a air tight container 

This rasam will be very good 
when you add tomatoes 
and coriander leaves 
and karukappilai and 
do the seasoning with a drop of ghee 
and mustard and jeera
